March On, Little Soldier of Sanity

The little life avalanche

First of all, I just want to thank Lia, Luisa and Cadiz cause you guys are like always here to comment on whatever ridiculous thing I post up, and that support is awesome. Special mention to Jacq, and Jazz and her iPhone replies. :) Seems BrightHopes is turning girls-only! Ah well, the boys lose when they snooze.

So, I roll out of bed at 15 past 12, with enough time to get dressed, brush my teeth, wash my face and brush my hair before heading out for the Student Theatre’s beatnik cabaret meeting. This is miraculous as I had shut off my alarm at 9, rolled over back to sleep and somehow awoke in the nick of time.

The meeting : they give me the job of stage manager. Wow, glory comes easy.

Talk to the ST people. Annika is rapt about my play (the one I submitted for the upcoming Short Works - short plays written, acted and directed by students), she bounced out and said she really liked it the minute she saw me. That was very heartening. Bob liked it too, but needs to read it again and is a little worried directors might not want to pick it up since it’s not the easiest play in the world. This may mean *I* would direct it. Oooer. I’ll leave it at that for now. Its definitely going to be in Short Works though, so, SUCCESS!

Meeting over. I need to do a grocery run. Grab my green grocery bags and head to Northland. Buy stuff. Come back. See that MetCard only expires at 6, enough time to make another trip to Summerhill, for stuff I wanted to get but refrained from buying due to the lesson I learned from that other time.

Walk to tram, take the tram to Summerhill, take it back and arrive back home at 6.

Haven’t showered. Undress so I can shower and wash my manky hair.

Get a phone call. It’s Suren from MSA, asking me where I am. “Where am I for what?” Clubs and Societies have a meeting every fortnight, Wednesday at 6. I am the MSA delegate obliged to go. It is 10 past 6. I am an irresponsible, forgetful delegate.

Suren says he’ll write my name for attendance, and it’s all good. I still feel guilty.

I open the cupboard, I see my laundry bag is full. Must do laundry.

I turn to my desk, I see all the dishes and bowls I’ve let pile up since last night cause I was too Gorram lazy. Must do dishes.

Get to shower, remember all the library research I’ll need to start working on PLUS the cinema article I need to finish reading for my critical evaluation PLUS rereading Chekhov’s The Seagull for drama PLUS reading the beatnik cabaret script.

Make a pizza, because I haven’t eaten.

Blog about suddenly bursting-at-the-seams Life, because it beats crying over being overwhelmed.

*deep breath*

*exhale*

Pizza is delicious.
